I am not privy to what the workers were paid but know that they were brought in legally and were not held against their will. If they are selling at inflated prices then it is up to the consumer to decide. There are many locals employed and the morale IMHO is good. Controversy surrounds everything these days. In Antigua government officials sold sacred burial land to a developer…in Bonaire a hotel is destroying a migratory bird nesting area..the list goes on and on…. I respect your right to voice your opinion and thank you for reading.

Viceroy is a horrible property run by horrible people who have no interest in doing anything for Anguilla or Anguillians. It was built with slave labour – hiring Indians for US$6/day of work and then charging the prices they do for a hotel room! Never mind what they wanted for the real estate. This project will fail and it deserves to. The principals at Viceroy should be ashamed of themselves.

As a longtime fan of Anguilla it is a shame that you would promote this property. They have nothing good to say about Anguilla and only came to the island to scam people into buying real estate at over inflated prices. They brought in people who left after making their money. If there is one good thing you can say about the worldwide economic crisis, it’s that Viceroy has failed as a result.
